Watercolor February: Second Annual Jane Stephens Memorial

50 new watercolors adorn the walls of SouthWind Gallery.

Beautiful watercolors were a favorite of the late Jane Stephens of Topeka, whose own delightful watercolors of birds are still in many private collections. 2020 marks the second annual tribute show at SouthWind Gallery, the “Jane Stephens Memorial Watercolor.”

Nearly 50 new works adorn the gallery walls, from the creative brushes of Diane Stolz, Lee Copen, Barbara Waterman-Peters and Denny Dowdy.

Be sure to make this a First Friday stop on February 7; opening reception from 5 – 7p with the show on display through the month of February.

SouthWind Gallery specializes in original paintings, photography and sculpture by artists with roots in Kansas and the Midwest. Artist collectors and purveyors know SouthWind as a go-to for specialized, quality archival framing. Continuing the legacy built by Gary Blitsch, Janet Paduh purchased the gallery in 2019 after Gary retired.
