Vinewood Market

The Historic Vinewood has been the backdrop for community events, dances and concerts for over 130 years, and October 17 + 18 is no different.

Vinewood Market, an outdoor flea market and craft fair will feature over 30 regional vendors and creators offering their unique wares. Booths feature handmade crafts, woodworking, unique collectibles, glassware, jewelry, yard art, vintage finds and unique items from home-based businesses. No doubt, some craft fair vendors will most likely also have hand-made cloth face masks for sale, fall’s hottest accessory. The event is held rain or shine Saturday, October 17 from 8a – 4p and Sunday, October 18 from 8a to 2p. Admission and parking is free. The event is open to the public and free. Media is invited.

“Jim and I travel several states attending and shopping at flea markets and craft fairs,” said Charlene Robuck, Vinewood Market director “we look forward to them every year, so we understand intimately the lack of events in 2020. We thought ‘what better use for this beautiful property than to host our own right here in Topeka.”

UNIQUENESS

The Vinewood sits on 5.1 acres and is located by Lake Shawnee, allowing vendors ample room to spread out. Each vendor will have a 20’ x 20’ area to set up and shoppers are reminded to wear masks or stay home if they have a temperature or do not feel well. A few select vendors will be located inside including high-end jewelry.

A full-service cash bar, including soda, water, beer and wine will be served off the back deck. Shoppers are allowed to enjoy provisions while shopping. However, their license does not permit alcohol on any parking area. (Must be 21 years to purchase and consume alcohol.) A food truck will be available and The Shack, Topeka’s famous burger joint will be open for curb-side and walk-up dining.
