It’s been 10 years since singer, songwriter, guitarist David Luther released his debut, self titled EP, and since his last performance in Topeka. As many singer/songwriters do, David has spent the last decade singing his songs and telling his stories to any astute listening ear. David worked several unreleased projects before joining David George + A Crooked Mile in Kansas City as rhythm guitar and backing vocals. Transitioning the cords of life, 2019 took David back in the studio; singles from his new EP with Kansas City based producer Oscar Rivas are expected to be released spring 2020 and features “The World’s Gonna Change” a previous collaboration with Academy Award and Golden Globe winning songwriter Tom Whitlock.
I have a lot of new music to share. Great songs with substance that I have written a long the way.
Joining his uncle Darrell from DemFellers, David will open Friday night’s show at Gayle’s in North Topeka. Gayle’s is the friendliest, neighborhood bar supporting local musicians every weekend. Get there early for a seat albeit you won’t be sitting once DemFellers’ start picking. Learn more and listen to DemFellers HERE.
