Huascar is a poet, writer, and performer who lives in Topeka. He currently works as a freelance copywriter and as the Literary Editor for seveneightfive magazine publishing stories that spotlight literary and artistic events in northeast Kansas. He is the winner of ARTSConnect's 2018 Arty Award for Literary Art.

“The First Time, the Heart (A Portrait of Life 1854-1913)” is a portfolio by Dario Robleto, of fifty lithographs about his research into the history of the human heart, and more specifically, our attempt to record a heartbeat. It is now part of The Spencer Art Museum’s permanent collection.
The walls outlined in Herrera’s poems continue to close in on present day America. Herrera writes to all parts of our humanity in an effort to tear down those barriers.
