For the past 48 hours, artist Jenny Meyer-McCall has been creating a unique work of art on a neutral vinyl wrapped 2022 BMW i4. The art piece which can literally move, will be parked this weekend (June 4 + 5, 2022) for public display during the Mulvane Mulvane Art Fair.
The painting of the car was a live event and staged in partnership with Aristocrat Motors Topeka.
(from press release)
“BMW of Topeka’s support of the Mulvane Art Fair just seemed to be a perfect fit in light of
BMW’s long association with the arts. We also recognized and embraced the BMW ‘Art
Car’ program with the painting of the 2022 BMW i4 by artist Jenny McCall,” says Robert
Hellweg, Marketing Director for Soave Automotive Group. “BMW has commissioned
seventeen original paintings of its cars starting in 1975 with the Alexander Calder 2.0 CSL,
through artists such as Frank Stella, Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol to the latest by Cao
Fei. These ‘masterpieces of speed’ have become a treasured part of BMW’s history. We
look forward to sharing that history with Topeka in our iteration.”
Artist Jenny Meyer-McCall is a friend of the Mulvane Art Museum who was participated in
the Mulvane Art Fair in past years. Meyer-McCall has a B.F.A from Kansas State University,
where she studied painting. She now lives in her home town of Kansas City and works as a
professional artist.
The Mulvane Art Fair is back in-person on the campus of Washburn University, June 4 & 5,
